About Us

Judy Rosenblatt grew up in Norfolk, Virginia, graduating from Granby High School in 1974. In 1977, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University with a B.A. in Urban Studies. She received a Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 1985, she received her law degree from the University of Richmond.

Judy first began the practice of law in private practice with the law firm of Anderson and Padrick, P.C. In 1988 the firm merged with Inman, Lee and Oliveri and became Anderson and Inman, P.C. Throughout her career Ms. Rosenblatt has always specialized in family law. She appears in all of the Hampton Roads courtrooms representing clients in divorce, custody, support and visitation matters. She was appointed as a Special Justice for the Virginia Beach Circuit Court in November 1988 and heard civil mental commitments from 1986 until 2005. In 1993, Ken Geroe and Judy started Geroe and Rosenblatt, P.L.L.C.

In addition to her legal career, Ms. Rosenblatt has always been very active in the community. She has been active in various Jewish organizations, politics and charities. She has been appointed to numerous boards and commissions for the City of Virginia Beach including the Planning Commission from January 1992 to 1999; Beaches and Waterways Commission from January 2000 to 2003, and the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Board Commission from 2003 to 2005.

After serving on various committees and offices for the Virginia Beach Bar Association, she became the first woman president in 1996. She currently sits on the Virginia State Bar Executive Committee and Virginia State Bar Council.

In 1995 Ms. Rosenblatt attended the Virginia Institute of Political Leadership (now known as the Sorenson Institute). From 2006 to 2007, she attended the CIVIC Leadership Institute.
